Comment: My 4-year-old son has enjoyed this kit with mom and dad. Other reviewers have stated that the materials are not durable, but we have done at least 3 experiments and it appears that the materials will last for at least a couple more. No problems here. My son enjoys making the colored crystals which become "kryptonite" for his superman figures.

Comment: Thanks to everyone's reviews, I didn't buy this. I bought the "totally Funky Science" kit. But, I did add some these project ideas from this kit. My 12yr old did the "Totally Funky Science" kit with my 5 and yr old and all three of them loved it.
Some of the materials in my kit were cheap of course. But, my kids had fun, learned and I think that is money well spent. I have wasted my money on worse things. Afterwards, I googled some science experiments, got some supplies, bought some experiment idea books and now have the kids do science experiments regularly.
The kit got us started and excited about science. =)
