Summary: Great puzzle concept.....not so happy with the company though
Comment: We love this puzzle! It stretches out across the room! It helps teach ABC's. It has bright vivid colors and the illustrations are realistic!
It is a hard to find puzzle, other verions by M and D are at Toys R Us but not this one. And even this one isn't available on Amazon except in this combo pack. Ours was handed down to us is the only reason we found it.
However, we lost one of the pieces and I contacted Melissa and Doug about buying a replacement piece. I was told that they could not do that, that EACH piece was hand-cut and so a replacement wouldn't likely FIT into my puzzle. They did not even ask WHICH train puzzle of theirs I had, they offer several and I think this one has the best illustrations.
What is funny though if you look at the box it's MADE IN CHINA, JUST like all the other manufacterers toys are. So rather than giving/selling the customer what they asked for and letting me be disappointed that yes it doesn't quite fit they refused to sell me the piece claiming it was HAND CUT???? So that means the whole puzzle goes to the landfill. That's sad.
