Comment: On Christmas we gave this to our nine month old grandson. He totally enjoys it. I'm grateful to the Fisher Price team for coming up with such a high quality product that our grandson can grow with.

Comment: For play factor, this toy can't be beat. My 8-month-old daughter got this for Christmas from my aunt. The sides are great - the towers that fall ARE really loud and tend to scare her sometimes, and she has zero interest in the tumble side - but she adores the mirror, she loves to pull the blocks out of storage (not coordinated enough to get them back in yet), and when there are just a few blocks to come from the towers (so they don't make too much noise), that is her favorite side. She isn't standing on a regular basis yet, but I'm encouraged that the top part holds so much interest for her. When she's in my lap, she puts in more effort to stand and see that thing than any other time. So for play, this is a GREAT toy. She's had it about six weeks and loves it.

The part I was disappointed in is that my aunt was so excited about the blocks. They're supposed to say the words for the pictures, and my mom even bought her the Alphabet blocks accessory package. But what I've found is that half the time, even I have trouble pressing it to make it say the word; and even then, a few of the regular blocks don't say the correct thing. For example, our "guitar" block says "cow" almost half the time. And the alphabet blocks...I can't even usually get them to say the letter at all. I know they are supposed to because a few times I HAVE gotten them to say the letter, but even then it called "Z - Zebra" an "M - Monkey." (And a few other errors, actually.)

Overall, if you're looking for a toy to hold your baby's interest and develop motor skills, this is the one. But if you want it to expand your child's vocabulary or teach them the alphabet - I'd look somewhere else.

Comment: This is a great little toy I got my daughter for her 1st birthday. She loves the "peek-a-boo" blocks already, so I figured this would be fun too. She plays with it quite a bit and I can tell she'll keep playing with it as she gets older as there are skills involved she hasn't quite developed yet.

But, Amazon's price seems REALLY high. I bought it on the manufacturer's website for $49.99!

Comment: We bought this for our second daughter on her first birthday. She loved it and played with it consistently for nearly two years and so did her big sister. Definately buy it! Never had a problem with it. So worth the money.

Summary: Fingers get caught in carousel - can't stay in place when baby stands...
Comment: Our daughter is 1. She loves that this toy makes noise and is loud. I don't mind that part - that's all part of her development. What I don't like is that her little fingers get caught under the lip of the carousel, and she cries because they get pinched. Probably not a huge "safety" issue, but still could be fixed by better building of the carousel to not include a lip that tiny finger fit right underneath.
I also don't like that it's not heavy enough or doesn't have sticky feet or something to keep it in place for when she tries to grab hold of it and stand up. She leans on it, and it slides across the floor. I've actually strategically place it next to a wall so that she can't fall on it when it slips out of her not yet sturdy reach. I have also seen it almost tip over on her when she holds onto it to sit down.
I can't rightly take it away from her because she loves to play with it, but I find myself watching her like a hawk when she plays with it because I'm worried something will happen to hurt her.


A bit of a disappointment from such a large toy manufacturer.
