Summary: Great puzzle board!
Comment: I have owned this puzzle board for several years and have been very pleased with it. It is lightweight and easy to use. The board has a good, firm support (made of cardboard and padding inside the vinyl, I think) so you don't have to have a table to work your puzzle on (unlike those roll-up puzzle mats). Also, it keeps your puzzle in place and does not cause damage to your puzzle pieces.
The only negative thing about this at all, and it's not really a negative, is that it will not accomodate every 1000 piece puzzle. Pay attention to the dimensions of your puzzle before beginning because the shortest side must be less than 23", I believe. I have several 1000 piece puzzles that are larger than this, so I'm looking into getting a 2nd board. May get the PortaPuzzle 1500 because it's a few inches larger.
Overall a fabulous investment for the avid jigsaw puzzle lover! :)
